Hard-working, adventurous, and positively ambitious. I am a graduate of Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Landscape Design and Horticulture. I believe in striving for success and trying my best in everything I do. I believe Landscape Architecture shapes and molds the way our modern world functions. I am so passionate about Landscape Design that I wanted designing experience not only in school but also outside of the classroom, which is why at the age of 17 I started my own independent Landscape Designing projects where I deal with my own clients and come up with my own designs and hire students who require financial help to pay for school fees. I designed front yards, balconies, and even show houses for bungalow estates. I even started my own miniature nursery and started selling plants to customers and or my own Landscape Design clients. In my extracurricular activities, I started Ngee Ann Polytechnic’s first-ever student made butterfly garden in the school. My efforts were recognized by a television series known as 'Wira Kita' (translated from Malay meaning 'Our Heroes') and the Singapore Malay Newspaper, Berita Harian on my Butterfly Garden that created a habitat for butterflies and all types of wildlife to flourish in and my work with vermicomposting and tumbler composting where I created a network of food wastage disposal from the canteens in the school to be collected at the end of the day and composted to enrich and bring life back into the soil so that flora and fauna can thrive. I enjoy overcoming challenges and perfecting my work, I hope to enter NUS Landscape Architecture to expand my architectural knowledge and contribute to the growth of the industry. I also hope to represent the university well just as I have done for my polytechnic when I was featured in the Newspapers and Television.
